CC Minutes March 11th 2008
Begin with remembering...check-in (celebrations and mournings).. choose facilitator and note taker.
Patty is Facilitator, Doug is taking notes.
1) The TC voted on the amended NCC Proposal-Making Proposal (initiated by Laurel and the ITC) and it passed, with the slight change that it would be up for review in six months from the time it passes the TC, ITC, and CC. (originally it said it would be up for review at end of June) We hope it passed the ITC, too, so we can start working the system.
Both the ITC and the TC have reviewed and consented to the proposal.
ACTION ITEM: This proposal is now approved by all. To be reviewed in September
ACTION ITEM: Doug to put Mother of all Proposals out on NCC connections
2) We'd like to touch in on Seeds of Compassion, bring you up to date on changes, and enlist the help of those who want to help from the ITC...kind of like a Marshall Team.
Barb relayed the events of the past few weeks, change of venue etc.
3) Following are pending ACTION ITEMS:
ACTION ITEM: CC keep on agenda: Organize NCC Potential New Members Welcoming Event
ACTION ITEM: DOUG WILL RESEARCH COVERAGE FOR TRAININGS, BOARD AND
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS DONE BY INDIVIDUAL TRAINERS ( 9/18 Pursued but no information available. Doug will continue to pursue still in process (2/19) (3/11, no action) this.) ( 10/2 Info received from broker. Quote pending. )
ACTION ITEM: BARB will research and buy NCC digital video camera NO PURCHASE YET (3/11, Mel is taking this on, no purchase yet)
ACTION ITEM: DOUG IS AUTHORIZED TO USE UP TO $2000 TO GIVE TO MARITINA TO USE THE VIDEO FOOTAGE SHE TOOK AT FAMILY CAMP TO MAKE A FAMILY CAMP VIDEO FOR NCC. IF DOUG DOESN'T LIKE THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO, HE WILL PAY FOR IT. (3/11, video rough cut done)
ACTION ITEM: Moreah will take the Final Proposal back to ITC and get their approval. No action ITC did not meet. (3/11, ITC gave consent)
ACTION ITEM: Barb will take the Final Propsal to the TC and get their approval. (3/11, done, consent by TC)
ACTION ITEM: Barb and Doug will put up the "how to join the TC Circle FAQ" on the website. (3/11, done, under "About Us: How we are organized")Moreah will check with ITC to see who will put information on NCC FAQ page "How to Join the ITC circle"
ACTION ITEM: MOREAH will research having an NCC blog (including on Gmail) No action
ACTION ITEM: Everyone will use Google Documents to plan the Feb 19th meeting via a Google Document. We'll figure out how to do that! Doug and Barb are using this already. (3/11, Moreah and Patty still having some challenges)
ACTION ITEM: MOREAH will contact Velocity Checking and check out their CD rates and other info requested by Doug (see Jan 2nd email), by February 13 No action

6) DISCUSSION: @ training requests that come through NCC website. Wanting clarity, respect, integrity, trust..
Proposal: Requester is informed NCC is a resource for people sharing NVC and does not make recommendations for trainers. All the local trainers are listed on the web site. On web site, after the welcome, there is a clear guidance to how to connect with Certified Trainers and Independent Trainers. this proposal to be review after six months.
ACTION: CONSENT GIVEN
ACTION: This proposal needs to go to both circles
7) Financial Report, & Doug's idea (?)
NCC has ~ $45,000 in assets. $20,000 CD is coming due March 18th. With low CD rates decision made to cash in the CD and put in bank account.
ACTION: Moreah and Doug given authority to make this decision.
Proposal: TC to take $15,000 of NCC funds budget item for projects to be decided by the TC.
ACTION: No action taken. Ran out of time
