NCC CC MEETING
November 10, 2007
Present: Laurel (facilitator), Doug, Roger, Pan (tech consulting), Barbara (note taker)
1) Check-in
ROGER announced his decision to resign as a representative from the ITC to the CC. He's going to try to get a replacement at the ITC 10/11 meeting.
2) CONCENT GIVEN: WEBSITE UPGRADE PROPOSAL: (BARB)
PAN IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE UP TO $500 IN CHANGES ON OUR WEBSITE TO MAKE IT EASIER AND FASTER FOR PEOPLE TO USE, AND MAKE IT EASIER FOR US TO MAKE CHANGES. IF HE MAKES THE NECESSARY CHANGES AND STILL HAS $$ LEFT OVER IN THE BUDGET, HE'LL SPEND THAT GIVING TRAINING TO BARB AND DOUG ON HOW TO MAKE WEB CHANGES. HE WILL LIKELY HAVE THE CHANGES DONE BY THE END OF THE WEEK (NOV 17).
3) CONCENT GIVEN: FAMILY CAMP VIDEO PROPOSAL: (DOUG)
DOUG IS AUTHORIZED TO USE UP TO $2000 TO GIVE TO MARITINA TO USE THE VIDEO FOOTAGE SHE TOOK AT FAMILY CAMP TO MAKE A FAMILY CAMP VIDEO FOR NCC. IF DOUG DOESN'T LIKE THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO, HE WILL PAY FOR IT.
4) LAUREL'S "WHO VOTES ON WHAT" DISCUSSION
The TC Proposals of 10/4/07 (website access, etc) stimulated some concern for Laurel on who makes decisions regarding NCC resources, in particular, the website. There was a quick round of discussion on this issue, including some mourning that the ITC had not yet decided to be an NCC circle when the 10/4 proposals were discussed and passed by the TC. Doug mentioned that TC'S intent was to make decisions about our web access that would meet needs for QUALITY, CONNECTION,& ACCESS.
ACTION ITEM: LAUREL AND ROGER WILL RUN THE 10/4 WEB ACCESS POLICIES BY THE ITC, AND SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY FEEDBACK FOR IMPROVING QUALITY, CONNECTION AND ACCESS.
