| FRED SLY will be co-facilitating with LIV MONROE. Join us to experience how powerfully Empathic Listening heals old and current pain offering you new confidence and hopefulness in your relationships and new vitality for yourself.
In a atmosphere of trust, transform relationship and personal patterns such as blaming, criticizing and self-doubting that interfere with intimacy and friendship; build skills that help you meet your needs for respect, appreciation, nurturing communication and more. Imagine living closer to your authentic self on a daily basis? Being able to stay present and empathicly connected to someone’s heart even in painful or difficult moments? This is a unique opportunity to do something for yourself in a natural paradise! You will be nurtured by gentle people serving delicious vegetarian meals, hiking options in a old-growth forest, and many choices for soaking in mineral springs overlooking a natural meadow and mighty river. Liv Monroe and Fred Sly are both CNVC certified trainers. Liv is a long term member of "Northwest Compassionate Communication," also know as "The Puget Sound Network for Compassionate Communication." (If you are reading this on a computer you are at their web site, www.nwcompass.org.) She provides community, family, and court ordered mediations and teaches NVC to school staff and students of all ages, organizations and businesses, families and the general public. By the time of this workshop she will have moved into a new NVC embracing cohousing community in Olympia, the building of which has been her passion for 5 1/2 years. Fred Sly has provided NVC trainings to a broad diversity of individuals, couples, families, schools, and organizations during his ten-year relationship with Nonviolent Communication. He provides counseling and mediation as well as NVC trainings throughout the greater Portland/Vancouver area. Since 2002 he has been offering NVC in prisons and jails and, currently, has founded the Oregon Prison Project offering trainings in the Oregon State Penitentiary. Fred is completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a focus on the power of empathy in reducing violence in our lives. He is a board member of the Oregon Network for Compassionate Communication at www.orncc.org. |
